Main Responsibilities

ITSM tool(ServiceNow) Developer

Responsibilities: 

• The consultant will have the overall view of the Council environment, the equipment and software to be supported, as well as all aspects related to the Council specific services.
• He/she is able to identify incidents and requests which are not within their security boundary, and deal with them in the appropriate way; understanding the confidentiality and sensitivity of their function. 
• The consultant will co-operate with internal and external sources (suppliers, manufacturers, etc.) in order to provide and receive all necessary information to avoid duplication of resources. 
• He/she will analyse, develop, test, document and roll-out any requested development related to the ITSM tool (ServiceNow). These developments may be adaptations or configurations in the tool, implementations of Council processes in the tool, reports, exports of data, etc.

Successful Candidate

Language requirements: 

• English proficiency (mandatory) and French asset

Technical requirements:

Knowledge of IT and Communication Systems environments:

• IT education (bachelor or higher) and have at least 8 years FTE experience working in IT.
• Previous work experience in IT development of at least 4 years FTE, working with the technology (programming language, database, etc.,) used by the ITSM tool (ServiceNow) 
• Excellent communications skills and ability to communicate with stakeholders at all level in a multi-cultural environment. 
• ITIL experience, certification desirable. 

The work may occasionally be carried out outside normal working hours.
