We are hiring a Solution Architect for an international organisation in Warsaw and various locations around Europe.

Main Responsibilities

Task 1: Design of strategic and operational ICT standards and architectures in support of OPS Portfolio and organizational architecture practice


The aim of this task is to analyse, consult and introduce both strategic and operational ICT architecture deliverables, such as architecture concepts, high-level ICT architectures, high-level and low-level ICT designs, and ICT standards and guidelines that will be used by other architects and delivery teams in the area of OPS Portfolio and in support of the organizational architecture practice.

This task includes the following activities (non-exhaustive list):

  • Analyse the legal framework and identify and address the legal requirements
  • Analyse and evaluate the current architecture ICT solutions
  • Develop and maintain roadmap, guidelines and standards for ICT solutions
  • Produce architectural documentation and specifications
  • Present architectures of ICT solutions to stakeholders
  • Lead the development, integration and maintenance of enterprise common use ICT components and services
  • Collaborate with key security personnel and other teams in applying the architecture and cybersecurity principles in the architectures of ICT solutions
  • Adapt the ICT Solutions Architectures to emerging threats
  • Perform market evaluation to identify appropriate ICT solutions to business requirements
  • Contribute to the definition of the architectural blueprint and integrate new solutions with existing framework
  • Collaborate with ICT Architecture team members
  • Identifying issues and risks related to ICT solutions
  • Provide support and guidance for alignment of ICT solutions deployed or planned to be deployed within the organization with overall Enterprise Architecture in the organization,
  • Provide expertise and support for development of Enterprise Architecture Framework within the organization,
  • Reporting on activities performed under this task


Task 2: Provision solution architect services for ICT systems and projects related to OPS Portfolio 

The aim of this task is to provide expertise and consultation in the area of architecture solution services related to ICT solutions deployed or planned to be deployed within the organization that are directly or indirectly related to OPS Portfolio. The task includes the following activities (non-exhaustively listed)


  •  Analyse the legal framework for requirements in the specific project/ICT system,
  • Apply ICT strategic and operational standards and architectures in the specific project/ICT system,
  • Preparation (or support in preparation) of solution architecture and design (including security architecture and design) for specified ICT systems,
  • Preparation (or support in preparation) of solution component and domain models for specified project/ICT systems,
  • Provide advice regarding design and validation internal and external interfaces for specified project/ICT systems,
  • Preparation (or support in preparation) of deployment model, hardware sizing, capacity and performance model for specified project/ICT system,
  • Run architectural and design workshops with business, ICT stakeholders and other contractors for specified project/ICT system,
  • Preparation (or support in preparation) of proof of concept, mock-ups, navigations, UI or functional and technology prototypes,
  • Market analysis, market studies and technology evaluation reports for specified project/ICT system,
  • Preparation (or support in preparation) and maintenance of Solution Architecture Document and Technical Design Document for specified project/ICT system,
  • Identifying issues and risks related to the ICT architecture,
  • Analysis and optimisation of architecture/designs/implementation of specific ICT system (incl. data and component model, database design, data warehouses or data marts organisation),
  • Preparation (or support in preparation) in documenting architectural and software design findings in form of documents, repositories and architectural and design models for specified project/ICT system,
  • Reporting on activities performed under this task.

 

 

Successful Candidate

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

Bachelor's or Master's Degree

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Has performed role of key architect in development of at least 2 software systems (one, in the case of the basic profile)
  • Expert in systems architecting in the relevant domain
  • Expert in designing enterprise level software systems
  • Expert in planning capacity and security of the systems
  • Holds excellent technical knowledge about: databases, application servers, communication middleware, web servers, GIS services, directory services, systems security on Microsoft platforms, business intelligence concepts, systems integration and Integrated Development Environments
  • Expert in designing in UML
  • Expert in software development methodologies, lifecycles and artefacts like RUP, ISO12207 and agile methodologies
  • Is proficient in using systems modelling tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect, Aris Architect or others
  • Presents excellent communication skills
  • Holds ability to document effectively
  • Presents problem solving skills
  • Presents leadership skills

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS 

  • Has knowledge and experience in the design and implementation of containerized applications, preferably on Red Hat Open Shift platform
  • Has knowledge and experience in designing and implementing reporting systems
  • Has knowledge and experience in designing and implementing human capital management (incl. worktime, workforce management) systems
  • Has knowledge and experience in optimization of architecture/designs/implementation of ICT systems
