We are hiring a Business Analyst for an international agency in Poland and various locations around Europe.
Main Responsibilities
Task 1: Provision of business and system analysis services for digitalization of operational reporting processes
The aim of this task is to provide expertise and consultation in the area of business and system analysis services related to digitalization of operations reporting processes.
This task includes the following activities (non-exhaustive list):
- Capture related business goals and translate to project objectives,
- Analyse opportunities and gaps,
- Elicit, document and prioritise high level and detailed business and system requirements for a specific solution (new or existing one) under the related project or project initiation activity,
- Ensure relevant documentation (such as Project initiation request, Business cases, Business Requirement document, etc.) and in line with the applicable standards, business needs and organizational guidelines and adopted frameworks with view to carry out the project under the PM2 methodology,
- Model and document Business Architecture including value chains, business processes (in its full extension), roles, capabilities and data, in appropriate formats according to purpose and organizational guidelines,
- Perform stakeholder analysis,
- Construct and maintain complex process models, domain models and user interface mock-ups,
- Run analytical workshops with relevant stakeholders,
- Analyse existing solutions and tools within the organization, the agency and on the market in order to ensure the interoperability and alignment of the new tools with the existing systems,
- Present the findings and recommendations to managerial and technical forums,
- Support further stages of IT Enabled Projects by creating user stories, continuous management of requirements, support or participation in validation and verification, testing, development of user guides and trainings,
- Develop or contribute to development of policies and procedures,
- Document analytical findings,
- Coordination of analytical and test activities related to digitalization of operations reporting processes,
- Support in creation and verification of technical and test documentation for digitalization of operations reporting processes,
- Support in performing tests, quality assurance and change management for digitalization of operations reporting processes,
- Reporting on activities performed under this task.
Task 2: Provision business and system analysis services for other initiatives related to OPS Portfolio
The aim of this task is to provide expertise and consultation in the area of business and system analysis services related to other initiatives that require OPS’s contribution or that impact directly or indirectly OPS Portfolio\ OPS Business Processes, such as but not limited to the creation of a Workforce Management System for the organisational staff in the field, and also OPS Portfolio Products and Projects in initiating, planning, executing, closing phases.
The task includes the following activities (non-exhaustively listed):
- Capture related business goals and translate to project objectives,
- Analyse opportunities and gaps,
- Elicit, document and prioritise high level and detailed business and system requirements for a specific solution under the related project or project initiation activity,
- Perform stakeholder analysis,
- Construct and maintain complex process models, domain models and user interface mock-ups,
- Run analytical workshops with business, ICT stakeholders and other contractors,
- Analyse existing solutions in the organisation, other agencies and on the market, including via market studies.
- Present the findings and recommendations to managerial and technical forums,
- Support further stages of IT Enabled Projects by continuous management of requirements, support or participation in validation and verification, testing, development of user guides and trainings,
- Develop or contribute to development of policies and procedures,
- Document analytical findings
- Reporting on activities performed under this task.
Successful Candidate
LEVEL OF EDUCATION
Bachelor's or Mater's Degree
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Has gone at least 1 time through the complete lifecycle of the software solution
- Knowledge in business processes modelling using BPMN notation
- Knowledge in requirements/user stories elicitation and analysis
- Knows analysis/modelling notations like UML (capability diagram, activity diagram, state
- diagram, logical data model etc.)
- Is proficient in using modelling tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect, Aris Architect or others
- Presents excellent analytical and communication skills
- Holds ability to create and maintain analytical and project documentation effectively
- Presents problem solving skills
SPECIFIC EXPERTISE
- Participated and has experience in the role of Business Analyst in a project aimed at value stream mapping, business processes improvement or redesign
- Participated and has experience in the role of Business Analyst in a project aimed at analysis, design, implementation and deployment of ICT Solution that enabled (1) content production or (2) multilevel, hierarchical reporting
- Expert in organisation and management of workshops, and has experience and knowledge how to prepare and conduct structure/unstructured interviews (incl. designing questionnaires)
- Has experience in preparing and conducting market studies/research
