Security System Admin

The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy. As subcontractor, Serco is currently looking for a Security System Admin to join our great team in Ispra (VA)!

Role Responsibility

As Security System Admin you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting security implementation in Microsoft systems within the Security Operations team.
  • The support of both daily operations for relevant services and contribution to the execution of new projects.

Successful Candidate

Your skills: 

Expert level:

  • Security on Microsoft technologies (Windows 10, Windows Server 20xx, Active directory)
  • Vulnerability detection and management solution (Tenable Nessus, Tenable security centre and others)
  • Security monitoring and attack detections (i.e. Tenable Identity Exposure)
  • Incident response processes and techniques.
  • Network security techniques and technology.
  • Network logging systems (Syslog and SIEM log correlation applications, Splunk)

Administrator/Operator level:

  • System Administrator of Linux Server (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOs and Others).
  • Operating and monitoring of Infrastructure, systems and servers.
  • IDS/IPS Network intrusion detection technologies.
  • Dual factor authentication system (token and radius server)
  • Web applications firewalls (eg. F5)
  • TCP/IP Networking and services.
  • SSL VPN Technologies. (eg. PULSE Secure systems)
