Job Introduction

We are hiring a Business Analyst for European Commission in Ispra and various locations around Europe.

Main Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of the BA cycle for software.
  • Ability to define BPMN and to create UML diagrams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
  • Ability to elicit needs and requirements
  • Ability to document and analyse stakeholders’ needs and requirements
  • Experience in writing use cases
  • Ability to write comprehensive technical analysis
  • Ability to identify improvement opportunities and to lead workshops and discussions
  • Contributing for designing, validating and testing system features
  • Responsible for training relevant stakeholders
  • Supports business experts and product owners during the definition of requirements and software development
  • Helping organise comprehensive and quality UAT through assisting users in developing test cases
  • Desirable: CCBA/CCBP certification, knowledge of the PM2 methodology
  • Highly desirable: knowledge of Jira, Confluence

Successful Candidate

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

 Bachelor's or Master's degree

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Experience in the business process modelling area and related tools.
  • The candidate will be able to capture user needs and business concepts using mainstream methodologies (e.g. Agile, RUP, UML …). 
  • Candidate should have knowledge of usability and User Interface design, very good command of English (written and oral), the ability of analysing, organising and presenting data. 
  • Capability of integration in an international / multi-cultural environment will be an asset.
