We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Fiber Optics & Patching Technician, based in Brussels.

Successful Candidate

• A valid Security Clearance. (Without a valid security clearance, you will not be considered !) ;
• 3 year degree in Computer Science related Degree and 3 years experience in IT Environment. (In the absence of a degree each candidate will have an additional two years experience per annum of missing higher education) ;
• It’s desirable to hold certifications in technology related domain ;
• 3 years experience in Optic fibre and copper utp/ftp. Knowledge of market testers and 3 years experience with structural cabling ;
• 3 years experience with knowledge in T568A and T568B wiring standards and 3 years experience with telephony equipment ;
• 3 years experience with installations of local area networks copper and fiber optic wiring (multimode, monomode, …) and in UTP testing equipment ;
• 2 years experience in fiber testing equipment, with FO Termination Kits, in Single and Multinode Connectors ;
• The ability to act outside Normal Service Hours on request, to be experienced and flexible ;
• An excellent knowledge of English is mandatory (level C1 CEFR) beside the knowledge of another language of the EU. The knowledge of French is also seen as a very valuable asset.
