We are hiring a User Documentation and Training Person for European Commission DG Informatics (DIGIT TM) in Brussels and various locations around Europe.

Responsibilities :

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced E-Learning Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engaging and effective e-learning courses. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of instructional design principles.

Following tasks will be performed by external service provider:

 eLearning platform manager & content developer:

• Managing the Learning Management System (LMS) for EISMEA: Ensuring the successful implementation and smooth delivery of EISMEA e-learning courses.

• Course Design and Development: Create high-quality e-learning modules using

instructional design methodologies and best practices.

• Content Creation: Develop multimedia content including video, audio, graphics, and interactive elements to enhance learning experiences.

• Project Management: Lead and manage e-learning projects from concept to completion,

ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.

2. Writing user manuals and web documentation, including FAQ sections, for EISMEA business procedures and information system.

3. Prepare and conduct live training sessions, either on-site or remotely, for business

procedures and information system.

4. Collaboration: Work with subject matter experts, educators, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective learning solutions.

5. Assessment and Evaluation: Design, implement (via LMS or other tools) and analyse assessments to measure learning outcomes and course effectiveness.

6. Translate business analysts input to information consumable by the end-user.

 

 

Successful Candidate

LEVEL OF EDUCATION: The European Qualification Framework which typically corresponds to a bachelor degree of 3 years.
 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:

• Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate),

• Knowledge in end user assistance of information systems.

• Knowledge of wiki, collaborative sites, and social networks.

• Good knowledge of presentation tools (e.g. PowerPoint).

• Good knowledge of MS-Office.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English at the C1 level

• Ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

• Ability to give business and technical presentations.

• Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences

• Analysis and problem-solving skills.

• Capability to write clear and structured technical documents.

• Ability to participate in technical meetings and good communication skills.

At least 5 years of specific expertise in online learning design and development (min. competence level4)1
