We are currently searching for an experienced and dynamic Software Developer/Engineer to join our international team in Frascati, Rome that will work on our Space services, specifically with data payload systems.  We are looking for a bright developer that is able to evaluate and implement user requirements into coherent software systems and components.  The ideal candidate will be able to work in a structured way, being able to produce and maintain documentation and software configurations.

Main Responsibilities

As a Software Developer/Engineer you will concentrate your activities on the following:

  • Develop and maintain systems to monitor and control PDGS end-to-end performance or similar systems.
  • Anomaly and problem management.
  • Technical and Project documentation review and editing.
  • Software configuration control and installation kit packaging.
  • Software installation kit creation and packaging.
  • Administration and operation of Kubernetes environment.
  • Support during regular meetings and audit.
  • Generation of service and progress reports.
  • collaborate with the relevant validation service(s) and operational teams/services to prepare, plan and execute the Transfer to Operations.

Successful Candidate

Do you think you are the person we are looking for? See below what experience or knowledge you should bring:

Technical skills:

  • Intermediate/advanced skills in development PHP, Javascript, Java, Python, HTML.
  • Intermediate/advanced Docker environment knowledge.
  • Writing skills for issuing technical documentation as notes, minutes, requirements, work specifications, architectural design.
  • Intermediate to advanced Linux (Operating System) user.
  • Knowledge of Grafana and/or other dashboard tools
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes virtual environment.
  • Knowledge of VMWare virtual environment.
  • Good understanding of ITIL practices and processes.
  • Knowledge of Anomaly management, System design and Software Validation activities best practice.
  • Knowledge of Software configuration control best practice.
  • Working experience on complex systems, in ground segments context.
  • Experience in setting up Virtual environments both on Physical and Cloud Platforms is an asset.                                                                   

Personal Skill:

  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken, with experience in international environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Proven track record of meeting schedules and milestones.
  • Able to perform well under pressure.
