We are seeking an Oracle/APEX Developer to work on our Customers Site (ESA-ESTEC) in the Netherlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to get into one of the most sought-after space agencies in the world.
Main Responsibilities
As Oracle/APEX Developer you will concentrate your activities on the following:
- Implementation of software requirements under the current architectural design in agreement with the best software engineering practices and ESA.
- Maintenance of software implementations, changes, upgrades and migrations in the related source code management tool.
- Maintenance of the current development, testing and production environment in relation with the developed software.
- Orchestrate and perform unit testing and user acceptance sessions prior to any release related to the developed software.
- Support user community on their day-to-day operations related to the developed software.
- Liaise with the team members and external teams for interfaces and implementations related to the developed software.
- Organize and/or attend team or external meetings, related with the implementation, evolution and support of the developed software.
- Support product owners in producing software requirements.
Successful Candidate
Do you think you are the person we are looking for? See below what experience or knowledge you should bring:
- Master’s degree in Engineering.
- Interest in low code platforms, preferably Oracle APEX, with professional experience.
- At least 3 years of professional experience with SQL, preferably PL/SQL.
- Strong experience in full-stack Web development (UI technologies like JavaScript, CSS, jQuery to backend/database level).
- Experience designing and implementing interfaces between systems (e.g., REST Web Services).
- Experience with Oracle database systems, including installation, upgrades and performance tuning.
- Experience with all stages of software development lifecycle, including User Accepance Testing and deployment.
- Knowledge of multiple programming languages and eagerness to learn and adapt.
- Familiarity with DevOps processes, version control systems (especially Git/GitLab) and setting up application environments.
- Strong communication skills, with ability to support users via phone and email.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word).
- Experience with business intelligence and data tools like Power BI and Azure Data Factory (nice to have).
- Experience with data warehousing projects and Azure technologies such as Spark and Storage (nice to have).
- Candidates must be EU nationals.
