Job Introduction

We have an exciting (and challenging) opening for a Microsoft Server and Cloud Infrastructure Administrator in Darmstadt. The role is available for an immediate start, featuring an initial 6-month temporary contract and the possibility of permanent placement, all while offering the flexibility of full remote work, with a requirement for candidates to be based in the EU.

Main Responsibilities

As Microsoft Server and Cloud Infrastructure Administrator you will concentrate your activities on the following:

  • Operate, monitor, patch, upgrade, troubleshoot, maintain operational procedures for Microsoft on-premise servers and services:

                    - Windows Servers (2012 R2, 2019, 2022).

                    - File and Print Services.

                    - PKI Services Internal and Public CA (Certificates provisioning and renewals).

                    - Email related services (Exchange SMTP routing, transport rules, connectors, Edge subscriptions, Web services publishing).

                    - Active Directory, ADFS, DNS, DHCP, WSUS.

                    - SQL Servers (2014, 2019).

  • Upgrade the Server OS regularly in order to keep the systems always under support.
  • Operate, monitor, migrate, troubleshoot, maintain operational procedures for Microsoft Cloud services:

                    - Azure VMs / Server Infrastructure.

                    - Azure AD.

                    - Microsoft / Office 365: Teams, Exchange Online.

  • Working knowledge of networking/security services and virtualization infrastructure for troubleshooting server infrastructure issues. (firewalls, switches, routers, virtual switches, Virtual Machines, ESXi Hosts, VCenter administration).
  • PowerShell knowledge and scripting.
  • 2nd Level Support for Service Desk related incidents.
  • Coordinate 3rd Level support with providers of products.

Successful Candidate

Do you think you are the person we are looking for? See below what experience or knowledge you should bring:

  • University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with system administration.
  • Fluency in English
  • Microsoft Server Administration
  • Azure infrastructure
  • Virtualization infrastructure

Considered as an advantage:

  • VMware VCenter and VDI Horizon administration
  • Windows Desktop Applications packaging and deployment with SCCM and Intune.
  • Windows Desktop OS Deployment and Configuration with SCCM and Intune
