On behalf of our customer EUMETSAT, we are looking for an Endpoint Engineer – Windows and Cloud. You would be working on-site at EUMETSAT’s site in Darmstadt, with a generous distribution of working hours into the hybrid model.

Main Responsibilities

As Endpoint Engineer – Windows and Cloud you will concentrate your activities on the following:

  • Endpoint Management:

    • Deploy and manage Windows 11 devices using Intune and Autopilot.
    • Package applications for distribution to end users using Intune.
    • Configure and maintain Intune Device Policies and security settings.
    • Ensure operating system and software updates are deployed efficiently.
    • Provide second level support and troubleshoot Windows endpoint issues and find out root cause
  • Cloud Technologies:
    • Manage and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
    • Implement and maintain security policies within Entra ID and Intune.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 performance and availability.
  • Security & Compliance:
    • Proactively identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.

Successful Candidate

Do you think you are the person we are looking for? See below what experience or knowledge you should bring:

  • Proven experience managing Windows 10/11 in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Intune and Autopilot.
  • Application Packaging, distribution and troubleshooting using Microsoft Intune.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 deployment and management.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation.

ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE EU.

Advantageous nice to have:

  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate).
  • Experience with SCCM application packaging and distribution.
  • Understanding of Active Directory Group Policy management.
  • VMWare Horizon VDI desktop imaging deployment, support and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices.

About Serco

Serco provides the User Helpdesk and Data Centre Operations Service of the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT), which plays a key role in enhancing the use of EUMETSAT data, products and data services.

The main objective of the service is to ensure effective and user-driven service to support the provision of data, both real-time and offline, as well as to provide comprehensive technical information to support all forms of user enquiries relating both to current operational services and to future satellite programmes of EUMETSAT.
