We are hiring an EU Commission: Front-End Developer | UX Designer for our prestigious partner DIGIT TM (DG Informatics) in Italy. DIGIT-TM is a contract from the European Commission for IT services across Europe.

Main Responsibilities
As EU Commission: Front-End Developer | UX Designer you will be responsible for:
The consultant will be expected to contribute to all the tasks listed below:
- Analyse change requests, assess their impact on the platform, design and implement solutions for TMA-CC/EMM applications.
- Development of front-end website architecture.
- Design of user interactions on web pages.
- Development of features to enhance the user experience.
- Building reusable code for future use.
- Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
- Cross-platform optimisation.
- Design responsive applications.
- Design and develop APIs.
- Maintenance of code integrity and organisation.
- Writing clean, functional code on the front-end.
- Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
- Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues.
- Integrate results in the TMA-CC/EMM systems.
- Produce technical documentation.

REQUIREMENTS, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS
3.1. Requirements
3.1.1. Profile and level
- Front-end developer, Level 8
3.1.2. Knowledge and skills
- In-depth knowledge of JavaScript and Angular Web Application development. Extensive experience in user interfaces design and implementation for Web, and hybrid.
- Experience in mobile application development, knowledge of both Android and iOS development being an asset.
3.1.3. Specific expertise
In-depth knowledge of:
- HTML5, CSS3 and SASS.
- Angular 2 (latest versions, build and automation tools), TypeScript, Angular Material and Angular State Management Systems (i.e. NGXS, NgRx etc.).
- ECMAScript (being able to write JavaScript code even without libraries or frameworks).
- Git, Maven, JIRA, Confluence and Nexus Software Development tools.
- Testing frameworks, preferably Jasmine, Cypress and Karma
- UX design best practices, especially: good understanding of responsive design and mobile-first design.
- Understanding of SEO principles.
- Web technologies and standards including at least general knowledge of current legislative regulation (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 level AA).
Good Knowledge of:
- Progressive web app application development
- Main JavaScript frameworks (JQuery, D3.js, ExtJS). Experience in Redux architecture is a plus.
- Experience in Web security, authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth, Open ID Connect).
- Applications design including usage of templating systems like Bootstrap.
- Service Oriented Architectures (REST).
- Working with XML and JSON.
- Client‐side development of complex applications involving: multi module, Web Components.
- Internet protocols including HTTP, TCP/IP.
- MS Windows Server OS.
- Business process analysis.
3.1.4. General skills
- Very Good knowledge of English;
3.1.5. Optional skills
- Experience with Text Mining tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of additional languages, besides English.
- Containers and Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of additional programming languages (e.g. Python, Objective C, etc.) and frameworks (e.g.: VueJS, ReactJS, Node.js).
- Native mobile application development (Android, iPhone)
- Index technologies like Lucene, Solr, Elastic search, etc.
- Tomcat servlet container including installation, maintenance, finetuning and web application design.
*Note: : Near-site external service provision: Home-working or contractor’s premises (at a distance which allows service providers to be onsite within 2 hours). Up to 5 days per month in the office
