Main Responsibilities

An excellent position has arisen in Brussels for Computer Forensics/ Cyber Forensics Consultant

 

Computer Forensics Consultant will be responsible for:

  • Provide cybersecurity support, detecting, identifying and analysing malicious IT activity or malware related matters
  • Perform targeted security testing against internal systems;
  • Report the findings and recommend remediation actions;
  • Monitoring security devices and contributing to the on-site security monitoring initiative
  • Administrating security devices (Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, IDS/IPS)
  • Contributing to performing and reviewing penetration testing results, and recommending measures to correct or mitigate vulnerabilities
  • Performing on-call and incident response tasks (emergency changes, investigations requiring forensics and malware analysis at a basic level)

Successful Candidate

Education & qualifications:

  • Degree education preferred but on-the-job exposure to IT security considered.
  • Certified Ethical Hacker certification or equivalent would be an asset
  • Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) certification would be an asset
  • SANS, EC-COUNCIL CISSP, CCNA and CISA certifications an advantage
  • Windows, Unix, Network, Database or Storage technical certifications would be an advantage

 Knowledge and skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of IT security processes, features, issues and solutions associates with operating systems, applications infrastructure and networking devices.
  • Experience in performing security testing on infrastructure AND/OR Experience in performing security testing infrastructure applications
  • Proven experience in cyber forensics/ digital forensics
  • Experience in testing practices on authentication, authorisation and session management,
  • Experience in performing operational acceptance processes under time and resource constraints
  • Good knowledge in best practice penetration test methodologies for vulnerability assessments (OSSTMM, OWASP).
  • Good knowledge in data recovery techniques, encryption, service protocols and computer privacy
