Job Introduction

We are hiring a User Experience Expert for European Commission in Brussels and various locations around Europe.
Main Responsibilities
Following tasks will be performed by the external service provider:
User Experience:
- Analyse business needs in UX
- Prepares quantitative and qualitative research and analysis in UX
- Design UX and services for our online content
Front-End Expertise:
- Build and customize Twig templates for Drupal.
- Develop and maintain CKEditor custom components.
- Develop and maintain Angular components and applications.
API Integration:
- Integrate RESTful APIs for dynamic data presentation.
- Accessibility and Standards Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with accessibility standards, such as WCAG.
- Optimize applications for diverse users, ensuring a high-quality experience for all.
Collaboration and Documentation:
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical audience.
- Maintain detailed documentation.
Successful Candidate
LEVEL OF EDUCATION
Bachelor's or Master's degree
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:
Drupal Expertise:
- Proven experience with Drupal (preferably Drupal 8/9/10)
- Familiarity with Drupal theming, Twig templates, and custom module integration.
- Understanding of multilingual setups and internationalization (i18n) for global projects.
Angular Knowledge:
Proficiency in Angular (latest versions) for building dynamic front-end components.
- Strong understanding of Angular modules, services, and component-based architecture.
Front-End Development Skills:
Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, SASS, and Typescript
- Familiarity with modern front-end tooling (Webpack, npm, etc.).
UX/UI Focus:
Understanding of responsive and adaptive design principles.
- Ability to transfer wireframes into functional interfaces.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG).
Version Control and Collaboration:
Experience using Git and collaborative tools like GitHub or GitLab.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflows and tools like JIRA, Confluence.
- Familiarity with Docker or other containerization tools.
- Capability to write clear and structured technical documents.
Problem Solving and Debugging:
Strong debugging skills for both Drupal and Angular environments.
- Familiarity with browser developer tools and performance optimization.
SPECIFIC EXPERTISE
At least 10 years of specific expertise in Javascript and associated libraries (jQuery, Ajax, Json, Gsap)
At least 5 years of specific expertise in Drupal themes
At least 5 years of specific expertise in Angular/Typescript
