Job Introduction

In Europe, we work closely with our customers to deliver custom-made and specialized services across International Organizations, Space, Immigration, and Defence. We provide tailored services for various public sector bodies including European Institutions, the Belgian and German Defence, the European Space Agency, and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). Our expertise spans IT services, Facility Management, Space Research, and Operations.

We’re looking for a Head of Programme Delivery, to reinforce the team in our Brussels office!

Main Responsibilities

Duties:

(S)He will be responsible for

  • Develop and execute comprehensive program plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure alignment of program objectives with the company's strategic goals.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of project managers by setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Monitor program progress of the ongoing projects activities, identify inter-dependencies as well as potential issues, and proactively implement solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for program stakeholders, including executives, clients, and team members.
  • Communicate program status, risks, and opportunities effectively and provide regular updates to all stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks and issues related to program delivery and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
  • Develop contingency plans to address unexpected challenges and ensure the program's success.
  • Ensure budget compliance and secure additional resources when necessary.

Successful Candidate

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of professional experience in all aspects of IT program delivery.
  • Proven experience with large scale digitalization programs in an international matrix organisation.
  • Solid track record of stakeholder management in matrix environment.
  • Practical experience with methodologies such as PMI, Prince 2, ITIL.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and working with Business Analysts and Solutions Architects (onshore and nearshore).
  • Willingness to be involved hands-on in the projects. 
  • Skilled at conceptual thinking with the ability to navigate ambiguity, structure complex ideas, and translate them into clear, actionable delivery plans through to execution.
  • Demonstrated resilience and accountability in navigating cross-functional dependencies and competing priorities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English + second language (French/German/Italian). 
  • Working experience with an EU client or other public institution is an added value.
