On behalf of our client, ESOC, we are looking for a skilled Cloud Architect join our team distributed over the ESOC site, in Germany.

Main Responsibilities

As Cloud Architect you will concentrate your activities on the following:

  • Design and implement cloud architectures for enterprise-scale systems, leveraging public and private cloud platforms (e.g., Telekom, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and technical requirements, translating them into cloud-based solutions.
  • Lead cloud migration projects, ensuring smooth transitions from on-premise or legacy systems to cloud environments.
  • Define cloud infrastructure standards, best practices, and security protocols.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate cloud services, tools, and technologies for infrastructure, storage, compute, and networking.
  • Monitor the performance, security, and cost-effectiveness of deployed cloud solutions.
  • Automate cloud deployments using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and other cloud-native automation tools.
  • Work closely with internal and external teams, to integrate and optimize cloud solutions within the broader organizational infrastructure.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to cloud operations engineer(s).
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends to continuously improve the cloud architecture strategy.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues, ensuring minimal service disruptions and high availability.
  • Respond to requests in timely manner, update the request tickets and provide feedback.

Successful Candidate

Do you think you are the person we are looking for? See below what experience or knowledge you should bring:

  • Experience in cloud platforms (Telekom, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud strategies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
  • Experience with databases, storage, networking, and monitoring within cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence services within the cloud.
  • Familiarity with cost management and optimization tools for cloud resources.
