We are hiring a Application/Cloud architect (ACA) for European Commission DG Informatics (DIGIT TM) in Brussels and various locations around Europe.

Main Responsibilities

Responsibilities :
- Analysis of the integration of different information systems.
- Data analysis and data modelling.
- Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture.
- Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers.
- Production of software architecture documents.
- Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users.
- Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, 2 evaluation and reporting.
- Creating designs and blueprints of Cloud Architecture.
- Review of the architecture of existing systems to migrate of existing system in the cloud.
- Design and development of architecture components and building blocks using cloud components.

Successful Candidate
LEVEL OF EDUCATION
- A bachelor degree of 3 years.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:
- Very good knowledge of ServiceNow and cloud-based Integrations
- Ability to perform proof of concepts (PoC) efficiently and fast
- Ability to give business and technical presentations
- Ability to apply high quality standards
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in cloud-based environments
- Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
- Analysis and problem solving skills
- Capability to write clear and structured technical documents
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Due to the particular nature of a large international organisation such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:
- Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team;
- Ability to participate in multilingual meetings;
- Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects;
- Excellent Team Player
- Ability to understand, speak and write French and English (B2 level for both) will be an advantage;
- High degree of discretion and integrity is required as the applications managed and maintained in DIGIT.A.3 contain personal and confidential data
