We are looking for a transition manager in anticipation of winning a tender, to oversee the seamless handover of services during operator transitions. This role is crucial for ensuring that services are maintained with minimal disruption as the operational responsibilities are passed from one service provider to another. You will manage the entire transition process, from the moment the tender is awarded to a new operator, ensuring that all technical and operational aspects are addressed efficiently.

Main Responsibilities

The Transition Manager will have the following responsibilties:

  • Responsible for the operations of rotation and taking charge of the service from the moment the tender is awarded to the new operator.
  • The Transition Manager will take care of the technical aspects in order to ensure a smoother transition to the new operator.

In particular:

  • Will take note of the status of any incidents that may have involved the personnel of the service provider
  • Will take charge of all the operational documentation relating to the vehicles and fire-fighting equipment
  • Will evaluate the status of the client's material
  • Will take note of the service status of the personnel with regard to:
  • Mandatory periodic health check-up
  • Refresher courses, certifications and attestations
  • Any additional certifications to be integrated in order to improve the service
  • Will examine the results of previous Service Reviews
  • Setup in agreement with Leonardo of a dashboard common to the 4 sites for the management of KPIs and evaluation of the service.
  • Will take care of or be responsible for any other activities that may emerge useful for the transition

Successful Candidate

The minimum requirements for the role are:

  • Italian mother tongue
  • Fluent written and spoken English 
  • Knowledge of MS office instruments, including planning tools,
  • Secondary School or (preferable) University Degree                        
  • Deep experience in contract management in difficult environment
  • Experience in Military/Defence (minimum 5 years)
  • knowledge of the Space/Defence context.
  • Proven experience in service management of complex projects in an international environment.
  • Strong financial management skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to innovate and drive continuous improvement.
  • In-depth knowledge of compliance and quality management standards." 
  • Flexibility to travel; ability to work in flexible mode; good communicator and team worker.
