Training Manager

We are currently seeking to employ an experienced Training Manager to work at our customer site and provide training in the area of Spacecraft Operations and related systems/activities as an extend of the Serco Space Academy.

 

Role Responsibility

As Training Manager you will concentrate your activities on the following:

  • Plan, schedule, and supervise training updates in accordance with local trainings.
  • Develop and supervise training strategy.
  • Assure that the training process is identical across all core team members.
  • Prepare and follow up training plans for operational and maintenance roles.
  • Check certification board (CB) requirements are fulfilled.
  • Chair of the final CB.
  • Be responsible for the Training Management System (TMS) tool.
  • Maintain system level training and its material in TMS.
  • Issue system level training reports.
  • Prepare and follow up delivery of the training documentation as required by the project milestones.
  • Lead, in strict coordination with the customer supervisors, training measures and registry for all the resources, in function of the needs and on the identified development perspective they indicated.

Additional Tasks:

  • Preparation of newly employed or newly tasked staff members working on the specific projects for the new and existing project positions.
  • Training and instructing the staff with the policy of the company including QMH processes and the service management processes according to ITIL standard.
  • Planning of training activities for all staff members.
  • Keeping track of staff training and certification records.
  • Preparing regular training status reports.
  • Proposing and coordinating the development and refinement of new and updated training course material as per existing/new training needs identified.

Successful Candidate

Do you think you are the person we are looking for? See below what experience or knowledge you should bring:

  • Degree in Engineering or comparable other relevant education.
  • Long term experience (10 years) in providing high quality training courses to employees.
  • Experience with TNA and Training plan preparation and maintenance.
  • Experience with Learning Tools Moodle based.
  • Proven experience setting up and conducting OPS personnel certification.
  • Good technics of trainee´s evaluation, including briefing, debriefing and feedback
  • delivery.
  • Intense verbal and written communication skills in English language.
  • Experience and background in the Galileo Project and familiarity with ITIL processes is desired. 
  • Further experience in other European space projects is an advantage.
  • Technical knowledge on Galileo Mission and Control Segment as well as Spacecraft subsystems is desirable.
  • EU citizenship is necessary, security clearance up to confidential.
