We are hiring a Technology Expert (Operations and support, web concepts, Databases, directories and transactions for our prestigious partner DIGIT TM (DG Informatics) in Brussels. DIGIT-TM is a contract from the European Commission for IT services across Europe.

Role Responsibility

NATURE OF THE TASKS
The expert resource will take-up the following assignment within the context of Identity and Access Management EU Login component: EU Login Operations Management. From the Operations Manager we expect to follow-up on the operational activities in context of the EU Login service.
In general, we expect from the EU Login Operations Manager that (s)he:
 Closely collaborates with the EU Login Solution Owner to ensure the vision and strategy are
included in all operational aspects.
 Plays an important role in the future transition towards DEVOPS.
 Maintains the operational integrity of the EU Login Services.
 Ensures efficient and effective operations daily.
 Is responsible for the Operational Contractor, the related FWC and the services provided by
the operational contractor
 Ensure that all day-to-day operational activities are carried out in a timely and reliable way and documented in Standard Operation Procedures.
 Keeps The Solution Service and its related Infrastructure functioning.
 Leads regular status meetings with the operational contractor.
 Follows up the incidents, requests and problems linked to his/her solution
 Validates the IA of operational changes and approves all operational changes linked to his/her solution
 Is responsible for the planning of the deployments in operations of his/her solution.

Next to that the EU Login Operations Manager:
 Is the team coordinator of the EU Login Operations team that is responsible for service
validation and 3rd level support.
 Closely collaborates with the other EU Login team coordinators.
 Participates to meetings with the business on operational activities.
 Follows up all open incident & request calls (content wise as well as procedure wise).
 Follows up all open problems (content wise as well as procedure wise).
 Manages deployments and handles the related operational changes & approval of the related planning & RfC.
 Ensures all day-to-day operational activities.
 Follows up on activities he/she requested to the operations contractor.
 Is an important actor in the Crisis Management for major incidents.
 Is the SPOC in case of operational maintenance and issues during Business Hours.
 Is the SPOC for Exception requests in Application Registration
 Coordinates the Weekly integration meeting & Activity meeting for all aspects to his CI
 Is the backup of the Solution Owner where it concerns decisions on operational stability such as prioritisation of emergency changes.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
The candidate is expected to have the following knowledge and skills:

 Fluent in English (spoken and written). Good knowledge of French is an asset.
 Ability to integrate in an international/multi-cultural environment.

 Proactive attitude, communicative (i.e. good listener) and customer-oriented
 Good knowledge of English (spoken, written)
 Ability to give technical presentations

The candidate is expected to have the following technical knowledge and skills:
• Operations and Support – Good knowledge of ITIL processes.
• Operations and Support – Good knowledge of networking, hardware and operating systems:
TCP/IP, Linux, databases, directories, shell scripts, virtualisation, load balancers, reverse
proxies, web application firewalls, HSM, TPM.
• Operations and Support – Experience in incident and problem management using a helpdesk support application.
• Web concepts – Good understanding of HTTP, HTTPS, Web Services (SOAP and REST).
• Databases, directories and transactions – Knowledge of RDBMS (SQL, ACID, XA) and/or
directories (LDAP).

The candidate is also expected to have a good knowledge or at least a strong interest to increase its knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
• Authentication and Authorisation –Knowledge of authentication, authorisation and
federation protocols and the technical standards involved: CAS, SAML, WS-*, OpenID Connect,
OAuth, JWT, FIDO, TOTP, HOTP, XACML.
• Cryptography – Knowledge of digital signature and encryption: symmetric-key and asymmetric-key algorithms, hashing, certificates.
• Web Security – Knowledge of techniques used to secure Web applications: TLS, OWASP,
Content Security Policy.

The following technical skills will be considered as an additional asset:
 Web server – Installation and configuration of Oracle Weblogic Server.
 Web server – Installation and configuration of Apache Tomcat Server.
 Basic knowledge for building sophisticated and highly automated infrastructure using Docker, Ansible, Kubernetes, Terraform.
 Basic knowledge of Kubernetes / Docker, ELK, Jenkins/Gitlab, X-Ray, J-Frog, SonarQube, Ant, Maven.
 Basic knowledge of integration security in the DevSecOps pipeline (HP fortify, Owasp
etc.).
 Basic knowledge of continuous delivery and tools (Bamboo, JIRA, Git, Jenkins).
 Bacic knowledge of Clouds platform and related tools.
 Experience setting up and maintain Testing tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Serenity,
JMeter

Because of the nature of the projects, the candidate must be security clearable.
