For one of our prestigious customers in Brussels we are looking for a System Administrator L5 (Microsoft Windows Server 2008-2012, SQL Server (2008-2014), BizTalk, HyperV/VMware/ESXI).

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Administration and troubleshooting of applications in the supervised environments
  • Maintain/Upgrade the development and test infrastructure
  • Perform system administration and database administration tasks
  • Installation and configuration of application components and server software. Integration of applications in the server environment
  • Monitoring of application usage and performance
  • Incident analysis and resolution, problem definition, analysis and resolution: preliminary diagnosis of software and hardware problems, co-ordination with the central IT department and with 3rd party maintenance contractors.
  • Advise to the IT management in areas such as capacity management, contingency planning, IT service continuity management, automation of repetitive tasks, security
  • Maintenance of the application procedures manual and the parts of the disaster recovery plans related to local systems and applications
  • Problem definition, analysis and resolution
  • Help assess the risks related to the project, in particular in the deployment phase
  • Elaborate and maintain the deployment diagrams and specifications
  • Establishment/documentation /maintenances procedures related to deployment of information systems
  • Support Member States for installation and configuration of test and/or production environments
  • Management of development and test infrastructure (e.g. application servers)
  • Release management and controls
  • Analysis of IS performances

Successful Candidate

  • System administration of Linux and Microsoft Windows environments
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2008-2012, SQL Server (2008-2014), BizTalk, HyperV/VMware/ESXI
  • Aware of the need of development and test team including continuous integration and test automation
  • Excellent knowledge of software deployment management
  • Good knowledge of software release management
  • Knowledge of application servers
  • Knowledge of building and deployment tools
  • Knowledge of development tools
  • Knowledge of RDBMS
  •  Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, excellent communicator
  • Capability of working in an international/multicultural environment
  • Good knowledge of English - minimum B2
