Job Introduction

We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Support to Surveillance ADS-B Anomaly investigation to join our team in Brussels Office. 

Main Responsibilities

Technical/professional qualification

Mandatory: 

  • either have a specialization in aviation surveillance systems or be able to show interest for such specialisation through this activity
  • previous working experience (3 years) in an aviation systems development, an aviation surveillance systems development or an aviation system technical investigation
  • shall be able to demonstrate ability to extract, prepare and analyse multiple type of data, using BI tools (Excel, TABLEAU or Power BI), have some prior experience with python (or equivalent) coding and be able to demonstrate ability to develop python code and simple SQL queries
  • shall be able to demonstrate a proficient use of English (spoken and written) and the ability to draft technical papers, reports, presentations and meeting notes in very good English
  • shall be able to demonstrate ability to work well with computers and MS Office applications and in particular Word, PowerPoint, Excel and be able to use databases and analyse data;

  • shall be able to demonstrate ability to work efficiently with in a multi-cultural team and in particular be a good team worker, have a positive and open minded attitude and show commitment to getting a job done with hands-on approach.

Successful Candidate

Background

The tender relates to the surveillance ADS-B anomalies investigation. A large part of the civil aviation surveillance is based on two technologies:

  • Mode S surveillance: Mode S surveillance is based on a ground segment (Mode S radar) and on an airborne equipment (Mode S transponder)
  • Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast – ADS-B surveillance

The candidate should cover the following tasks

  • Task 1 - ADS-B Data extract, preparation and analysis
  • Task 2 - ADS-B Investigation
  • Task 3 – ADS-B Anomaly process flow improvement and harmonisation with the ADS-B process flow
  • Task 4 – Back up the Mode S activity

Educational requirements

Mandatory:

  • 5-year university degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent.

Language Requirements:

Mandatory

  • English - B2 and French - C1 OR English - C1 and French - A1
