Service and Mission Management Support (System Engineer) (EUSPA)

For our client, European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA), we are looking for a Service and Mission Management Support (System Engineer) for multiple locations in Europe: Prague (Czech Republic), Madrid (Spain), Noordwijk (the Netherlands), and Toulouse (France).

Please note that this role provides a 1 year  support contract starting from 01/02/2024.

The activities below will include frequent access to EUSPA classified security areas and systems and will require the candidate to have a Security Clearance. Meetings to other EUSPA premises in Europe is foreseen.

Role Responsibility

As Service and Mission Management Support (System Engineer) you will concentrate your activities on the following:

  • Contribute to the preparation of the service evolution plan integrating the system evolution plan, the respective service roadmaps, the security risk treatment plans and other inputs and including elements of schedule, cost, risk, performance.
  • Support the organization and execution of the Service Exploitation Reviews (biannual review on the delivered service provision quality) and for the reviews related with the different services evolutions (new Service Concept Review, Service Consolidation Review, Service Validation Review).
  • Support implementation of exploitation change control boards (CCB) structure;
  • Preparation, review and administration of change requests, including the participation to the relevant CCB and the Engineering Board as needed.
  • Analysis of the services provision changes, services roll-out implementation of the new system releases, the services provision risks and the contracts change proposals.
  • Participate to boards, reviews and progress meetings dealing with service management, provision, exploitation and validation.
  • Support the monitoring, coordination, control and reporting on the Programmes activities.
  • Support the configuration management and ensure respect of the exploitation obligations defined in the CA and PMP (with EC).
  • Support to the coordination baseline documentation.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and supervision of Services KPIs, incidents, user requests and related Service Communications.
  •  Support to International cooperation, International Committees, including for Search and Rescue and signal/frequency coordination’s.

Successful Candidate

Do you think you are the person we are looking for? See below what experience or knowledge you should bring:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering.

MANDATORY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • From 2 to 10 years of relevant  experience in ground segment or system engineering experience in the space industry
  • Experience in GNSS in particular on Galileo and EGNOS is a strong asset;
  • Experience with European Space Programmes (Copernicus, Galileo , Space Doman awareness or Govsatcom)
  • Experience with COMSEC items and PRS information is a strong asset;
  • Experience with DOORS is a Plus
  • Availability to go on missions

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • SECRET UE/EU SECRET Security Clearance is mandatory
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU.
