We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Technology Expert, based in Petten.

Role Responsibility

The Candidate should provide:
a) Fully operational data management solution, including tools both pre-processing and post processing of data and changes in the database. For the successful conclusion of the contract booth tools should be implemented and deployed at JRC Petten and pass above mentioned validation test.
b) Documentation for data structures, installation procedures and user manual of proposed solution should be provided in electronic form (pdf) and be targeted to users with no or limited experience in deploying it solution and coding in Python.
2 Data integrity is the maintenance of and the assurance of the accuracy and consistency of, data over its entire life-cycle.
c) Itemised estimation of typical maintenance needs and cost expressed in level of expertise and man days necessary. Maintenance needs could include but are not limited: exchanging tools capabilities, adding new, format of original data, migration to new hardware, etc.

Successful Candidate

Senior technology expert

• Minimum 10 years' experience in development of information systems
• In-depth knowledge of relational database systems
• In depth knowledge of functional requirements and business case analysis
• Minimum 10 years with Python, including data access (API interfaces), cleaning and processing data.
• Minimum 10 years with SQL/MySQL database design, development and optimisation
• Preparation of technical requirements and documentation

General skills

• Excellent command of written and spoken English Capacity to work efficiently in a multi-disciplinary environment
• Good team work spirit
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good oral and/or written communication skills
