Role Responsibility

This activity is intended to support for the PDGS integration and Validation testing activity, i.e. covering:

• the implementation plan definition phase
• the Elements Industrial Procurement phase
• the PDGS Integration and Validation testing phase

The following tasks shall be performed by the Validation Engineer:

• Generation of the PDGS Integration and Validation documentation
• Preparation, organization and supervision of the PDGS Integration and Validation test execution
• Coordination of the PDGS Integration and Validation test results analysis and participation to the Test Readiness Review and Test Review Board
• Generation and management of the Anomaly Reports resulting from the test execution, and coordination of the implementation of mitigation actions.
• Deliverables :
  • PDGS Integration and Validation Test Plan
  • PDGS Integration and Validation detailed Test Plan (test cases)
  • PDGS Integration and Validation Test Procedures
  • PDGS Integration and Validation Test Reports and test analysis
  • PDGS Integration and Validations Minutes of Meeting for test reviews.
  • Generation of technical notes, reports, review item discrepancies and problem and anomaly reports within the scope of the work package
  • Definition of the needed test data for PDGS Integration and Validation Test

Successful Candidate

The ideal candidate should bring the following skills and experience:

• University degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in engineering or science related subject
• Project management experience, preferably in the field of Earth Observation Ground Segment validation  
• Knowledge of relevant Engineering standards , e.g. ECSS
• Experience with requirements Management tools e.g.  Rational DOORs or similar
• Knowledge of the Earth Observation missions (and instruments) and processes related to their PDGS development would be an asset.
• Knowledge of relevant Engineering standards
• Ability to write technical documents and converse in English
• Good communication skills and ability to work in international teams
