On behalf of our client, the European Space Agency, we are looking for a skilled PA and Safety Support Engineer to join our team at the esteemed ESA-ESTEC site, in the Netherlands. Main Responsibilities
As PA and Safety Support Engineer you will concentrate your activities on the following:
- Support the Galileo Space Segment PA&S Unit in all the activities related to the execution of the Galileo Space Segment Product Assurance and Safety Programme.
- Guiding and monitoring the implementation of PA&S requirements by contractors in order to assess performance/effectiveness, participating in design reviews and directing the necessary preventive or corrective actions.
- Ensuring the implementation of the Space Segment PA&S Requirements baseline across the applicable Galileo Satellite Project.
- Supporting the process for evaluation and approval of contractors’ waivers and deviations.
- Participating in the Boards established within the project for the disposition of Non-conformances / Failure Reviews, Test Reviews, etc.
- Monitoring the integration and test activities with test witnessing, mandatory and key inspection points, configuration inspections and quality assurance audits.
- Supporting the definition of the formal acceptance requirements and conduction of acceptance reviews of all assigned contractual deliverable items.
- Ensuring the preparation of design trade-offs, analyses and reports using RAMS data to support project decisions.
- Supporting the approval process and monitoring the procurement of EEE parts, materials and processes and controlling the implementation of applicable requirements.
- Supporting launch campaigns as required.
- Supporting Security activities for space segment as appropriate.
- Supporting the maintenance of the Navigation Directorate Quality Management System as required.
Successful Candidate
Do you think you are the person we are looking for? See below what experience or knowledge you should bring:
- Master’s degree in engineering discipline is required.
- Minimum 4 years of related experience.
- Proven record of Product and Quality Assurance activities.
- Knowledge of Configuration Management or the implementation of Product Assurance within a quality system certified to ISO 9001 would be an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are needed, together with a high degree organizational and communication abilities, and comfortable with working in a diverse and multinational team environment.
- Proficient in the English language, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of another EU member state language is an asset.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU.
