Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit three IT Backup Experts on our prestige customer site in central Frankfurt, Germany
Main Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for the support and improvement of the storage and backup service while working in the Storage and Backup Team in the Data and Network Section in the Infrastructure and Network Operations Division. The selected candidate will be reporting to the team coordinator and working in close liaison with the client teams for backup services, namely database, e-mail, server and virtual infrastructure development and support teams.
Successful Candidate
The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of relevant experience.
Education and qualifications:
- Engineering and design experience
Knowledge and skills:
- minimum ten year experience with enterprise storage or centralised backup technologies
- minimum five year experience in developing and supporting complex centralised backup, data protection and disaster recovery solutions
- minimum five year experience with IBM Spectrum Protect (formerly TSM) on AIX or Linux
- understanding of Enterprise Storage Systems and Storage Area Networks
- a good command of English with proven drafting ability
- proven experience with IBM Enterprise Tape Library
- proven experience with TSM data protection modules for VMware, Oracle, Exchange and SAP
- proven experience with TSM Operations Center
- proven experience building / using reporting tools or scripts to analyse backup operations and compliance
- proven experience with IBM storage systems (e.g XIV, DS8K, V7000)
- proven experience with Netapp storage systems (e.g. FAS)
- proven experience with EMC storage systems (e.g. Isilon)
- proven experience with Brocade storage area networks
- proven experience in development (i.e. project) of complex storage and backup solutions
- proven experience in ongoing support (i.e. maintenance and housekeeping) of complex storage and backup solutions
- proven experience with IT Service Continuity Management activities, either testing or participating in disaster recovery real scenarios
- process-oriented approach based on working knowledge of IT Service Management standards, such as ITIL, in particular in the areas of incident, problem and release management
