Job Introduction

We are hiring a IS Tester for European Commission in Brussels and various locations around Europe.

Main Responsibilities

  • Definition of test plans and test cases
  • Construction of test scenarios and scripts
  • Execution of tests.
  • Create reports / documentation of test results, errors, and issues to be fixed.
  • Collaborate with the business analysts, users, project managers and the developers.
  • Ensure the information systems meet the business requirements.
  • Ensure the information systems meet the standards and specifications.
  • Participate in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  •  Very good experience in Testing methodologies.
  • Good knowledge of testing technologies, tools and techniques.
  • Hands-on experience in manual testing.
  • Good knowledge of a Test Management tool.
  • Knowledge of a Defect Tracking tool.
  • Experience in test data preparation, preferably with SQL databases.
  • Experience in web-based technologies and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • ISTQB certification will be an advantage.
  • Awareness of software development and service methodologies (e.g., Agile).
  • Ability to apply high quality standards.
  • Ability to cope with fast changing technologies.
  • Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Autonomous.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Attention to details.
  • Analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to write clear and structured technical documents.
  • Ability to participate in technical meetings and communicate clearly on technical matters.
  • Experience of automation testing tools such as Selenium, Jenkins or JavaScrip is a plus
 SPECIFIC EXPERTISE
  • at least 2 years of specific expertise in defining test plans and test cases.
  • at least 2 years of specific expertise in writing test scenarios and scripts.
  • at least 2 years of specific expertise in a Test Management and Defect Tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Katalon…)
  • at least 2 years of specific expertise in relational databases and SQL.
