Job Introduction

We are hiring a IS Tester for European Commission in Brussels and various locations around Europe.
Main Responsibilities
- Definition of test plans and test cases
- Construction of test scenarios and scripts
- Execution of tests.
- Create reports / documentation of test results, errors, and issues to be fixed.
- Collaborate with the business analysts, users, project managers and the developers.
- Ensure the information systems meet the business requirements.
- Ensure the information systems meet the standards and specifications.
- Participate in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users.
Successful Candidate
LEVEL OF EDUCATION
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Very good experience in Testing methodologies.
- Good knowledge of testing technologies, tools and techniques.
- Hands-on experience in manual testing.
- Good knowledge of a Test Management tool.
- Knowledge of a Defect Tracking tool.
- Experience in test data preparation, preferably with SQL databases.
- Experience in web-based technologies and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- ISTQB certification will be an advantage.
- Awareness of software development and service methodologies (e.g., Agile).
- Ability to apply high quality standards.
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies.
- Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Autonomous.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Attention to details.
- Analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Capability to write clear and structured technical documents.
- Ability to participate in technical meetings and communicate clearly on technical matters.
- Experience of automation testing tools such as Selenium, Jenkins or JavaScrip is a plus
SPECIFIC EXPERTISE
at least 2 years of specific expertise in defining test plans and test cases.
at least 2 years of specific expertise in writing test scenarios and scripts.
at least 2 years of specific expertise in a Test Management and Defect Tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Katalon…)
at least 2 years of specific expertise in relational databases and SQL.
