We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Full Stack Developer to join our Italian Office in Rome.

As a Full Stack Developer you will be in charge of several ESA Earth Observation programme element or initiative web sites and related databases, in particular:
- Control and ensure current opened web and databases are operational, including related system administration activities
- Support new content insertion
- Perform new tools development, development for improvement of existing tools and evolution
- Document actions related to web and databases
- Perform system security actions and apply ESA security requirements
- In addition, the person will contribute to GDPR related documentation needed for projects
Successful Candidate
Your skills:
- University degree in a relevant field, at least 3 years of experience in similar tasks
- Proficient in HTML, PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL
- Solid experience developing web applications using Laravel
- Proven track record in creating custom WordPress themes and plugins
- Skilled in working with RESTful APIs and integrating with backend systems
- Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as Tailwind CSS, Vue.js, and Bootstrap
- Experience managing Linux servers
- Experience configuring and maintaining NGINX and Apache web servers
- Competent in managing MySQL and at least one other relational database system (RDBMS)
- Proficient in using Git for version control and collaborative development
Relevant experience in similar tasks:
- Experience in systems security and GDPR related documentation
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously under constraints, in direct contact with ESA
- Pro-active approach to problem identification and resolution
- Able to manage several tasks in parallel and to prioritise
- Excellent writing skills in English
- Good team working skills
Relocation :
Rome's central location in Italy offers excellent transportation links within the city and across the country. The city is well-connected by a network of highways and railways, with Ciampino Airport or Fiumicino, providing convenient access to international destinations.
