We are hiring a Full Stack Developer (FSD) - 6781 for our prestigious partner DIGIT TM (DG Informatics) in Brussels. DIGIT-TM is a contract from the European Commission for IT services across Europe.

Role Responsibility

As Full Stack Developer (FSD) you will be responsible for:

• Development and integration of technological components.
• Implementation of user requirements.
• Prototyping.
• Elaboration of test programs.
• Integration with other applications.
• Writing of technical documentation.
• Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system.
• Participation in meetings with the project teams.

Successful Candidate

LEVEL OF EDUACATION 

• Bachelors Degree of 3 years

KNOWLEDGE AND  SKILLS

Please specify the knowledge and skills necessary for the performance of the above list tasks:

• In depth knowledge of HTML 5 and CSS 3
• In depth knowledge of Java 6 and above
• In depth knowledge of Relational DBMS
• Good knowledge of Agile principles
• Good knowledge of interoperability technology (Service Oriented Architecture, web services, message oriented middleware, service-oriented bus).
• Knowledge of UML, in particular use case diagrams and activity diagrams.
• Capability to write clear and structured technical documents
• Ability to give business and technical presentations.
• Ability to apply high quality standards
• Analysis and problem-solving skills
• Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application architecture and design

Due to the particular nature of a large international organisation such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:

• Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team;
• Ability to participate in multilingual meetings;
• Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, or multiple large projects
• Excellent team player
• Ability to understand, speak and write in English (Level C1) is mandatory 
• Ability to understand, speak and write French (Level B1) will be an advantage
• High degree of discretion and integrity is required as the applicants managed and maintained in SG contain personal and confidential data

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE 

• The proposed candidates should have the following specific expertise
• In depth knowledge of, and experience with Spring, including Core and MVC
• In depth knowledge and skills on using Continuing Development / Continuing Integration techniques,
• knowledge of source code control repositories such as Maven, GIT, SVN, TFS.
• Good knowledge of HTML 5 and CSS3
• Good knowledge and experience working with Javascript frameworks (Angular, JQuery, NGRX,React…)
• Good knowledge and experience working with Hibernate/JPA
• Knowledge of, and experience with Weblogic and/or JBOSS
• Knowledge of REST principle
• Knowledge of SOAP and Spring Web Services.
• Knowledge of, and experience with Oracle (versions 8+)
• Experience working with the Atlassian Suite, JIRA Confluence Bitbucket and bamboo
• Knowledge of, and experience with MySQL (versions 5+) is an asset.
• Experience with Enterprise Service Bus technologies (Apache ServiceMix, Oracle Service Bus…) is an asset.
• Knowledge of Web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0, WCAG 2.1, WAI-ARIA) is an asset
• Good understanding of UX design best practises, in particular responsive and mobile-first design, is an asset.
