We are hiring a Enterprise Architect for our prestigious partner DIGIT TM (DG Informatics) in Brussels. DIGIT-TM is a contract from the European Commission for IT services across Europe.

Main Responsibilities

Nature of tasks
 Architecture maturity assessment.
 Elaboration of architectural vision.
 Implementation of architectural vision through the definition and progressive implementation of an enterprise architecture framework.
 Frame architectural corporate recommendations into the enterprise architecture framework.
 Coordination of Architecture Office tasks.
 Ensuring consistent and sound architectural decision taking in the projects of the Unit.
 Producing architectural recommendations.
 Chairing architectural committees, coordinate the preparation of topics to discuss.
 Development and enhancement of existing architectures.
 Assistance with the implementation of specific architectures.
 Portfolio management (from architectural perspective).
 As-Is and To-be situation analysis and gap analysis.
 Cost estimation.
 Costs/benefit analysis.
 Rationalisation of IT systems.

Skills
 Ability to analyse complex IT environments and business situations, shaping the way forward from the architectural perspective to cover the business needs.
 Ability to follow and interpret internal corporate procedures and standards.
 Ability to work independently on specific tasks while at the same time working as a member of a team.
 Ability to communicate effectively with different actors (including technical users, business representatives, managers etc.) in an international/ multicultural environment.
 Ability to work to meet specific deadlines.
 Presentation skills (to different kind of audiences, including technical users, business representatives, managers, etc.).
 English drafting skills.
 Coordination abilities.

Education
Master’s level or 5 years of higher education or an equivalent number of years of IT professional experience as stated in the DIGIT-TM – Service Requirements.

Experience
 Minimum 9 years of IT professional experience.
 Minimum 7 years’ experience in Architecture Offices, defining and implementing enterprise architecture frameworks, best practises, models and related tooling (e.g. ARIS).
 Minimum 5 years’ experience in translating business needs into technical requirements and/or technical architectures.
 Experience in coordinating architects.
 Experience in cost/benefit analysis or in As-is/To-be/Gap analysis.
 Experience in project management (e.g. Prince2, PM²) and related tooling.
 Experience in consulting.
 Experience in managing stakeholders and business representatives.
