We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst, based in Brussels.

Main Responsibilities

Description of tasks:

  • Analysis of Business requirements
  • Business model analysis
  • Business process analysis
  • Assistance in Vision documents
  • Business processes modelling
  • Functional requirements and business cases analysis
  • Risk analysis 

Successful Candidate

Knowledge and Skills

  • Good knowledge of information systems matters
  • Good knowledge of large organisation administrative business processes
  • Good knowledge of analysis/modelling tools and techniques (use case diagram, state diagram, entity relationship model etc.)
  • Good knowledge of BPMN or UML or other with equivalent value
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. RUP, Agile)
  • Strong capacity in preparing and writing business analysis
  • Capability to speak to business and technical audiences
  • Strong capacity to give high level presentations
  • Ability to apply high quality standards
  • Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, excellent communicator
  • Capability of working in an international/ multicultural environment.

Education

Bachelor’s level or 3 years of higher education or an equivalent number of years of IT professional experience as stated in the DIGIT-TM – Service Requirements.

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of IT experience in requirements life-cycle management (gather, analyse, document, and change management) in the context of IT applications
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with UML or CASE tools
  • Minimum 3 years of business process analysis
  • Minimum 3 years of business process modelling experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in the interoperability of systems and data exchange
  • Very good experience with relational databases
  • Very good experience in dealing with stakeholders and business representatives
  • Very good communication skills 

Specific expertise

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in elicitation and analyse of business requirements
  • Minimum 7 year’s experience in documentation of business requirements and functional decomposition
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in analysing requirements for data exchange with web services (REST, SOAP)
  • Minimum 5 years in functional design of information systems with modelling tools (e.g. UML);
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with business modelling tools and notations (e.g. Aris, BPMN)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in project methodologies (e.g. RUP)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in writing use cases and test scenarios
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with JIRA

Additional requirements:

Available within a three months' time frame.

  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to analyse complex documents
  • Ability to follow and interpret Internal procedures and standards
  • Ability to work with imposed deadlines
  • Ability to work independently on specific tasks while at the same time functioning as a member of a project team.
  • Fluent in English and/or French
