Job Introduction

As a leader in Service Integration and Management, we ensure seamless delivery of services across various platforms, embodying our commitment to excellence in every aspect of our work.
We are hiring a Application/Cloud Architect for European Commission in Brussels and various locations around Europe.
Main Responsibilities
- Analysis of the integration of different information systems.
- Data analysis and data modelling.
- Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture.
- Technical interface between the project leaders, the developers (internal and external) and the technical teams responsible for information systems to integrate or connect to.
- Production of software architecture documents and other technical specifications.
- Definition of interoperability standards and interfaces.
- Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users or their representatives.
- Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting.
- Creating designs and blueprints of Cloud Architecture.
- Review of the architecture of existing systems in the context of their integration in a common platform or interoperability with them.
- Review of the architecture of existing systems to migrate of existing system in the cloud.
- Design and development of architecture components and building blocks using cloud components.
- Contribute to the control of the quality of technical deliverables produced by “extra-muros” contractors.
Successful Candidate
LEVEL OF EDUCATION
Bachelor's or Master's degree
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- At least 10 years of specific expertise in architecture best practices and patterns.
- At least 5 years of specific expertise in microservices and architecture in the cloud.
- At least 10 years of specific expertise in applications design.
- At least 7 years of specific expertise in modelling tools.
- At least 5 years of specific expertise in Enterprise Architecture.
- At least 5 years of specific expertise in relational DBMS, data modelling and database design techniques and tools (e.g. SQL Developer Data Modeler, Oracle SQL Developer). At least 5 years of specific expertise in business process analysis.
- At least 5 years of specific expertise in Service-Oriented Architecture and interoperability technology (web services, message-oriented middleware, service-oriented bus, event architecture)
- At least 5 years of specific expertise in IT security technologies and standards (web, database and cloud)
- At least 5 years of specific expertise in the processes involved in crisis management, early warning and alerts, if possible, in the public health domain.
OPTIONAL CERTIFICATIONS
Certified DevSecOps Professional (CDP) certification.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
Google Professional Cloud Architect.
Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
