We are hiring a Business Analyst for our prestigious partner DIGIT TM (DG Informatics) in Brussels. DIGIT-TM is a contract from the European Commission for IT services across Europe.

Role Responsibility

Nature of the tasks
Non-exhaustive list of the tasks to be carried out:

 Incident’s analysis and risks assessment on the best course of action
 Problem Management
 Follow-up of incidents and user’s requests
 Writing user documentation
 Testing of the application to reproduce incidents and later, to confirm that it has been fixed.
 Execute and put in place procedures when the system does not behave as expected (may require the adaption and execution of SQL queries).
 Liaise with the development team on incident analysis and middle/long term solutions
 Liaise with users to understand their need and identify the most appropriate reply
 Be a team player to insure the most optimal workload and efficiency of the support team

Successful Candidate

Knowledge and skills
 Proven knowledge in end user assistance and support of information systems
 Good understanding of information systems matters
 Knowledge of wiki and collaborative tools
 Knowledge of large organization administrative business processes
 Good knowledge of analysis techniques
 Understanding of software development and agile methodologies
 Good knowledge of SQL Developer and SQL queries
 Able to read logs
 Strong capacity in preparing, explaining and writing an analysis
 Good communication / writing skills

Due to the nature of a large international organization such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:
 Ability to participate in multilingual meetings
 Ability to understand, speak and write English (C1 level min) and French (B2 level min)
 Ability to work in a multicultural team and environment
 Ability to work with a high degree of rigor and method and, more specifically, to follow naming conventions and coding standards
As the applications managed and maintained in DIGIT.B.2 contain personal and confidential data, a high degree of discretion and integrity is required from all our staff members.

Education and Experience
 Minimum 3 years of relevant studies after the secondary school (2 years of professional experience can compensate 1 year of study).
 Minimum 3 years of experience for level 0.
 Is an asset: experience at the EC, ITIL certification.
