Role Responsibility

The key person will be responsible for:

•  Analysis of the user interface requirements- make sound proposals for the  improvement of usability of DG EAC IT systems 

•  Create designs, design ideas, user flows, sitemaps and prototypes delivering these in  line with project deadlines 

•  Develop the visual and interaction elements, user experiences, refining them towards a  polished design, considering typography, iconography, layout and brand identity along  the way 

•  Follow the latest design trends, device and technology developments  Present design decisions and share design expertise to peers, partners, and  stakeholders, helping the product design team to articulate and rationalise capabilities  against user insights and business goals 

•  Participate in on-site usability testing to ensure the end-product design provides users  with the optimum experience in terms of simplicity, efficiency and effectiveness  Collaborate with other members of the digital and wider team to get to the heart of  what our users need, creating sketches, concepts, user journeys, wireframes and  navigational prototypes. 

•  Find efficient solutions for problems linked to multi-device development (e.g. desktop  screen vs. smartphone 

•  Evaluate user interfaces based upon a user-centric approach (including usability studies  on real stakeholders and/or clients) 

Successful Candidate

The key person should have:

•  Good knowledge of user interface ergonomics 

•  Solid experience in design and use of graphical tools (Balsamic/In Vision, Photoshop,  Illustrator, Sketch) 

•  Proven ability to deliver innovative experiences across multiple screens and customer  touchpoints - Mobile, Tablet, Desktop and TV form factors, with a working knowledge  of distinct design constraints and nuances. 

•  Good knowledge of UI design principles and techniques, UX and interaction design – (Angular) 

•  Demonstrable UI design skills including creating product designs, design ideas, user  flows, sitemaps and prototypes, and interpreting data 

•  Experience in translating business needs to detailed analysis and feasible, user friendly  interfaces 

•  Willingness to help technical and non-technical teams to design interfaces and  openness in receiving feedback and transforming it to appropriate solutions.   

• Knowledge of web technologies and standards including at least general knowledge of  current legislative regulation (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 level AA)  

•  Strong capacity in writing and presenting studies 

•  Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, excellent communicator   Capability of working in an international/ multicultural environment.  

•  Fluent in English and French
