design & architecture for our prestigious partner DIGIT TM (DG Informatics) in Brussels. DIGIT-TM is a contract from the European Commission for IT services across Europe.

Role Responsibility
Nature of the tasks
Non-exhaustive list of the tasks to be carried out:
Creation and maintenance of Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW)
Gathering business requirements
Designing ETL processes
Data modelling
Design and development of reporting applications
Physical DB design
DB performance analysis
Design of Data Quality and Health Monitoring processes
Elaboration of test programs
Writing of technical documentation
Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system
Participation in meetings with other project teams
Successful Candidate
Knowledge and skills
In-depth knowledge of data warehouse design & architecture
In-depth knowledge of relational database systems applied to data warehouse
In depth knowledge of SQL
In depth knowledge of business intelligence reporting tools
Good knowledge of ETL tools
Good knowledge of modelling tools
Good knowledge of online analytical data processing (OLAP) and data mining tools
Knowledge of data virtualisation
Knowledge of cloud computing
Due to the particular nature of a large international organisation such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following nontechnical skills:
Ability to participate in multilingual meetings
Ability to understand, speak and write French and English
Ability to work in a team
Ability to work with a high degree of rigour and method and, more specifically, to follow naming conventions and coding standards
Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on a large project
Education and Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant studies after the secondary school (2 years of professional experience can compensate 1 year of study)
Minimum 11 years of experience for level 4
Minimum 2 years of experience with a project management methodology (e.g. Prince2)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in RUP, Agile or another software development process methodology
Experience with BI reporting tools
Experience with ETL tools
Specific expertise
Minimum a total of 11 years of experience in one or more of the following: OLAP, data mining tools, business intelligence reporting tools (e.g. SAP Business Objects, Qlik Sense, Power BI) or ETL tools (e.g. SAP Data Services). Several years of experience in some of the tools listed in this paragraph must be demonstrated. (required)
Knowledge of the Data Vault 2.0 Enterprise Data Warehousing methodology (required)
