We are hiring an Expert in Business Intelligence and Database Domains for our prestigious partner DIGIT TM (DG Informatics) in Brussels. DIGIT-TM is a contract from the European Commission for IT services across Europe.

  • Architecture and design of information systems
  • Review of the architecture of existing systems
  • Design and development of architecture components
  • Analysis of the integration of different information systems
  • Data analysis and data modelling [Essential]
  • Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture
  • Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers [Essential]
  • Production of software architecture documents [Essential]
  • Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users
  • Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation,
    deployment, evaluation and reporting.

  • Ability to give technical presentations
  • Ability to apply high quality standards
  • Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application architecture and design
  • Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, good communication skills
  • Ability to interface with end-users for requirements gathering [Essential]
  • Capability of working in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid selfstarting capability and experience in working in a team, understanding the needs, objectives and constraints of those in other disciplines and functions [Essential]
  • Ability to provide technical document about current reporting solutions.
  • Good knowledge of EC corporate systems
  • Professional experience in an EU Institution is an asset.

Specific Expertise [Essential]

  • Practical and proven knowledge about Qlik technologies, Qlik Sense architecture for large systems.
  • Proven expertise in QS application development and testing (data visualisation)
  • Expert knowledge in Oracle Relational Databases (SQL + PL-SQL)
  • Expert knowledge in Data warehouses management and ETL (Pentahoe, Talend)
  • Practical knowledge of SAP BI4 reporting environments and architecture

METHODOLOGIES

  • Good knowledge of project management methodologies, such as RUP Agile, PM2 or PRince 2 Agile or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of JIRA, Confluence or similar.

  • A problem solver with the ability to take the initiative, to instigate and to preempt
