We are hiring a Technology Expert for expert advice and assistance for the CAP Information Systems Infrastructure for our prestigious partner DIGIT TM (DG Informatics) in Brussels. DIGIT-TM is a contract from the European Commission for IT services across Europe.

Role Responsibility

NATURE OF THE TASKS
The tasks are related to expert advice, assistance and technology watch in application life cycle management, interoperability, business intelligence technologies, architectural considerations, applicable standards, solution patterns and best practices in the ICT infrastructure domain of DG Agriculture and Rural Development.
As DG Agriculture will be more and more cloud-oriented in the future, the management of
cloud servers and technologies will be necessary soon. Also risk analysis is part of required
tasks.
It is expected that the Contractor’s service provider will ensure technical directions and
choices, will design, realize, and validate long-term, reliable, and adaptive technical solutions

Successful Candidate

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
The Contractor's candidates must have the minimal knowledge and skills that a person with
this profile is expected to possess, as defined in the Annex I of the Call for Tender's Service
Requirements.
The Location of services delivery will be Brussels. Therefore, in accordance with the service
requirements of the framework contract, the Contractor’s candidates must be fluent in English.
French is an asset. Documents will be written in English.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
The level is the highest level for which a contractor’s candidate can be accepted. For being
accepted at a level lower or equal to the maximum aforementioned level, the candidate must
have the minimal educational qualifications and professional experience that a person with
normal expertise (i.e., independently of the technological, language-related or other
requirements), is required to possess for that level, as defined in the framework contract.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
In reference to the specific security rules for services provided on the premises of the
contracting authority in Belgium, which are listed in the Framework Contract, the Contractor’s
service provider must receive a positive security advice. Moreover, regarding the sensitive data the Contractor’s service provider will deal with, the Contractor’s service provider must receive a positive security advice that does not include recommendations to DG AGRI to implement specific security measures.

The Contractor’s candidates must have:
• An experience of at least 11 years in the management of Infrastructure in a large multilanguage organisation or company;
• An experience of at least 6 years in the operating systems used at DG Agriculture and Rural Development (Redhat Linux, Windows);
• Experience of at least 1 year in the elaboration of security guidelines and procedures.
Experiences in SharePoint, Qlik Sense and Cloud computing are considered an advantage but are not strictly necessary. The candidate should at least show an interest in these technologies and should be prepared to support these technologies
