We are hiring a Technology Expert experienced in the field of Drupal language and development for our prestigious partner DIGIT TM (DG Informatics) in Brussels. DIGIT-TM is a contract from the European Commission for IT services across Europe.

Role Responsibility

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS
The successful candidate will provide Technology Expertise, technical lead services and development services for the above described project. The candidate will contribute to the activities listed below (nonexhaustive list):
 Software configuration management
 Build and continuous integration
 Establishment /maintenance s procedures related to deployment of information systems
 Management of development infrastructure (e.g. application servers)
 Release management and controls
 Analysis of IS performances
 Lead back-end code reviews with teammates;
 Lead back-end development for new functionalities and integration of new components;
 Collaborate effectively with team members, including but not limited to designers, analyst, product owner, project/product managers, developers, support and testers.

Successful Candidate

EXPERIENCE
 Excellent knowledge of software deployment management
 Good knowledge of software release management
 Knowledge of RUP and/or AGILE methodologies
 Knowledge of application servers
 Knowledge of building and deployment tools (e.g. Ant)
 Knowledge of development tools
 Knowledge of RDBMS
 Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, excellent communicator
 Capability of working in an international/ multicultural environment.
 Good knowledge of Agile development approach
 Good technical knowledge on the development and projects aspects
 Practical knowledge of reporting methods
 Ability to work with minimal supervision on multiple tasks
 Ability to give presentations
 Ability to apply high quality standards to all tasks
 Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, good communication skills
 Capability of working in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in a team, understanding the needs, objectives and constraints of those in other disciplines and functions
 Ability to work within a team
 Ability to take the lead for the front end development
 Ability to teach and/or mentor other team members as needed
 Experience working with product managers, developers, and other designers who require alignment to plan, prioritize, and execute on complex problems.
 Ability to develop a strong understanding of the business, vision, and strategy, as well as complex technical requirements, and incorporate them into elegant design solutions.
 Decision Making: consistently chooses the best course of action (from a number of alternatives) to address business problems and/or opportunities.
 Priority Setting: focuses time/energy on the most important issues/opportunities. Clearly understand how to assess importance of tasks and decisions.

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE
 Minimum 11+ years of professional experience
 Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Drupal language
 Some experience with Agile methodologies
