Technology Expert and technical lead experienced in the field of User Experience design (21046, L 1)

We are hiring a Technology Expert and technical lead experienced in the field of User Experience design for our prestigious partner DIGIT TM (DG Informatics) in Brussels. DIGIT-TM is a contract from the European Commission for IT services across Europe.

Role Responsibility

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS
The successful candidate will provide Technology Expert and technical lead services for
the projects maintained by B4.
The candidate will contribute to the activities listed below (non-exhaustive list):
 Provision of expert advice and assistance, technology watch, evaluation studies, architectural considerations, applicable standards, solution patterns, best practices and coaching on Information System User Experience design;
 Provision of quality plans, quality assessments, quality control tests, evaluations and
service level agreements associated with information system infrastructure services or projects;
 Assistance with the implementation of the User Experience design into information
system development projects;
 Elaboration of functional and non-functional requirements and business case analysis
related to the area of expertise;
 Assistance with the conception, design and assessment (including audit reports) of
Information Systems User Experience design;
 Usability and User Experience research and design for web and mobile;
 implementation of a software engineering methodology;

The technology environment is as follows:
 The development is adhering to the java-based EC reference architecture based on
JaveEE and Angular.
 Other technologies will be used too, including Symfony/PHP and Drupal.
 Interoperability is achieved based on SOA principles and Oracle Service Bus as well
as microservices.
 The data is stored in an Oracle Database 11G/12C or MySQL.
 The development is based on an agile methodology and the Jira/Confluence
ecosystem.

Successful Candidate

EXPERIENCE
• Experience in facilitating design sprints/ conversational design workshops;
• Experience in design thinking methods or/and systems’ thinking;
• Ability to synthesize UX research, web analytics data, as well as surveys, legacy and
organizational goals;
• Holistic approach in problem solving;
• Experience in Service design;
• Knowledge of Usability methods, quantitative and qualitative research methods;
• Communicate the organisation’s vision and goals from an end-users’ point of view;
• Ability to work closely with business and cross functional teams to reach desired organizational goals;
• Develop trusted relationships with business leaders across a company to help them integrate user experience capabilities as a strategic asset;
• Ability to coach and transfer UX knowledge across the organization;
• Excellent communication and organizational skills;
• Knowledge of project management is an asset;
• Experience in Agile methodology;
• Team worker and ego-free attitude;
• More than 7 years of experience as a UX consultant, Digital communicator;
• Masters’ degree in Business management or equivalent.
