Role Responsibility

Your tasks will be :

• Operating the various components part of the “Compass Corporate” environments. 
• Support and troubleshoot problems related to the applicative infrastructure. c
• Improve the reliability and availability of the platform. 
• Monitor and proactively address the potential issues of the platform.
• Provision of expert advice and assistance on the installation, configuration and tuning of tools and platforms required for the "Compass Corporate" micro-services based infrastructure. These include Kafka, Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Search, Zookeeper, Rundeck, Ansible, Redis.
• Provision of expert advice on the best use of container platforms such as PKS/Tanzu/TKGI.
• Configuration of automated deployment of new versions of applications. This could be to micro-service-based platforms running on the “on-prem cloud” using PKS containers.
• Configuration of automation and configuration management tools such as Rundeck and Ansible.
• Configuration of container platforms such as PKS.
• Linux systems administration tasks and scripting.
• Integration with CI/CD systems and execution of Bamboo plans.
• Diagnosis of software problems, co-ordination with the development teams and support teams. Working very closely with senior developers and architects.
• Develop tools (scripting languages) for the automation of processes, the monitoring of performance and availability of applications and for the proactive detection of problems.
• Documentation of operational procedures and compilation of guidelines and "best practice" regarding the delivery of applications for deployment

Successful Candidate

Skills and experience required:

• A very good understanding of micro-service and Springboot type infrastructure.
• A very good understanding of container platforms such as PKS/Kebernetes. c
• Expertise in some of the following: Kafka, Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Search, Zookeeper Rundeck, Ansible, Redis.
• Good knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Unix/Linux shell scripting.
• Expertise in monitoring network infrastructure and resolving system issues.
• Solid knowledge in IT performance management, network administration and system security.
• SRE or DevOps knowledge.
