Role Responsibility

You will be responsible for:

• Provision of expert advice and assistance on technology choices, architectural choices and best practices
• Assistance in the implementation of a software engineering methodology
• Architecture and design of the interfaces between information systems
• Analysis of the integration of different information systems
• Data analysis and data modelling
• Analysis of document management problems
• Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture
• Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers
• Production of software architecture documents
• Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users
• Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting

Successful Candidate

You should have:

• Deep knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture
• Deep knowledge of REST services and a microservice based architectures.
• Deep knowledge of interoperability of information systems and services using the Oracle Service Bus and API gateways
• Good knowledge of document management best practices.
• Good knowledge of secure coding best practices.
• Good knowledge of Java Enterprise development
• Good knowledge of applications design
• Good knowledge of modelling tools
• Good knowledge of Enterprise Architecture
• Good knowledge of Relational DBMS
• Good knowledge of business process analysis
• Good redaction skills, capability to write clear and structured technical documents
• Ability to give technical presentations and communicate best practices to developers
• Ability to apply high quality standards
• Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application architecture and design
• Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, good communication skills
• Team player.
• Familiar/experienced with ARES document archival System used at the European Commission
• Familiar/experienced with ABAC accounting system used at the European Commission.
