Role Responsibility

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS
The contractor is expected to perform the following tasks:

• Provision of expert advice and assistance, technology watch, evaluation studies, architectural considerations, applicable standards, solution patterns and best practices in following areas of expertise:
• Big Data platforms,
• Cloud systems including migration to cloud / hybrid public and private cloud implementation / multi-vendor cloud implementation ,
• Business Intelligence,
• Data Analytics including data analysis and data visualizations,
• Interoperability Maturity Assessments,
• Semantic web technologies (XML, RDF, OWL), linked open data.
• Provision of quality plans, quality assessments, quality control tests, evaluations and service level agreements associated with information system infrastructure services or projects in the field of above-mentioned areas of expertise.
• Assistance in the implementation of a software engineering methodology, including BPMN
• Elaboration of functional and non-functional requirements and business case analysis in the field of above-mentioned areas of expertise
• Risk analysis in the field of above-mentioned areas of expertise
• Review of cloud Information Systems Infrastructure Architectures
• Provision of technical evaluations and audit reports in relation with cloud information systems infrastructure

Successful Candidate

REQUIRED EXPERTISE
The Contractor shall be familiar with and have previous experience in doing the type of work described in this document. Furthermore, due to the nature of the projects and prototypes for the assignment the following knowledge and skill are requested:

• Experience in implementation solutions and tools by applying modern data/text analytics technologies such as data mining, predictive modelling, segmentation and clustering analysis, natural language processing, data visualisations …
• Experience in programming languages such as Python for data analytics or equivalent commercial tools/technologies
• Experience with Web Services
• Experience with Semantic technologies, including ontological representation (XML, XPath/XSLT, RDF, RDF Schema, OWL,)
• Experience with Project Management methodologies
• Fluent in English
• Capability to write clear and structured technical documents.
• Ability to participate in and facilitate meetings in English, very good communication skills
• Capability of working in an international/multicultural environment, and teams
