We are hiring a Technical Expert with specific expertise on Angular, Java, Oracle pl/SQL, and Linux scripting for our prestigious partner DIGIT TM (DG Informatics) in Brussels. DIGIT-TM is a contract from the European Commission for IT services across Europe.

Role Responsibility

Task description
The tasks as defined in the service requirements of ESP-DIGIT-TM for the above-mentioned profile are applicable. The expert will implement and manage advanced automation on:
- Design, development and test of complex parts of the information systems
 Queries and code optimisation (SQL, Java, Typescript, JavaScript, Shell Script, etc.)
 Code quality review
 Unit, integration and system testing
 Requirements gathering using use cases, and user stories

Work environment
The work will be carried out in Brussels in Time and Means mode, with an important part of the time in teleworking. The expert will work on a Commission standard computer equipped with standard software. Working languages English and French. The expert has to be available during the Commission working days and core hours, as well as to respect the daily and weekly timetable and workload, unless the Commission states otherwise due to special circumstances.

Successful Candidate

Required expertise

Tasks, knowledge and skills as defined in the service requirements of ESP-DIGIT-TM for the abovementioned profile.
In addition, it is required a mandatory, specific, recent, and documented expertise on Angular
(version 2 and above), Java, Oracle pl/SQL, and Linux scripting of at least 3 years.
The expert should be motivated and will involve him or herself in the project in order to understand the business and processes, and will be able to work independently as well as in tight cooperation with the other experts and with the business stakeholders under the leadership of the project manager.
The person must be able to learn and to understand quickly new business domains and complex processes, to understand quickly user needs and to discuss the functional requirements with the business analyst and business representatives.
A proactive attitude is very important and challenges should be a source of motivation for the expert.

Required skills/knowledge
 Thorough knowledge and programming practice in Angular (version 2 and above), and Java.
 In deep knowledge and practice of REST micro services architecture development, Oracle pl/SQL, JavaScript, Linux shell scripting, and Agile methodologies.
 Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings in English and French, ease of communication, excellent in English and French (both verbal and written).
 Ability to quickly start, learn and integrate in an international/multi-cultural environment.
