Technical Administrative Assistant for Planning, Coordination and Maintenance M/F

We currently have multiple positions available at the Belgium Naval site in Zeebrugge.

Serco Maritime Service, formally Clemaco – with 150 employees has been a partner of the Belgian Navy since 1964. Activities mainly take place at the naval base in Zeebrugge, where the teams take care of the maintenance of the ships of the Belgian army fleet, including minehunters. The company also works for the Dutch Navy and the Belgian police and customs. 90% of our annual turnover is generated by our assignment for the navy.

You will work within the ' Naval Maintenance ' department of Serco Maritime Service, we provide a total maintenance service for various types of naval vessels for the Belgian and Dutch Navy (Frigates, Mine Hunters and Patrol vessels).

Role Responsibility

You will come into contact with a range of maintenance and repair activities.

You will work in the Planning, Coordination and Maintenance department at the naval base in Zeebrugge, where you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Analysing and continuously monitoring the maintenance and planning process and adjusting where necessary.
  • Monitoring procedures, work instructions, planning templates, protocols and reports and managing them (document management).
  • Drafting standard documents and reporting tools for the benefit of project teams (queries).
  • Making all necessary work documents available in a central location and communicating with the workshops about these documents.
  • Monitoring the 'Work Periodic Preventive Maintenance' documents, in consultation with the workshops and the material manager.
  • During your intake period you will learn step by step how to carry out the various administrative tasks.

Successful Candidate

  • You see the theoretical background and can quickly apply it in practice.
  • You will be trained to use new software and/or upgrades in the future.
  • You have a Bachelor degree in administration with a feeling for technology.
  • A thorough experience in Excel and an ERP program or the motivation to acquire this knowledge.
  • You are a 'Team player', flexible, eager to learn, motivated and not afraid of a new challenge.
  • Both school leavers and 55+ are welcome in our company.
