Job Introduction

We are hiring a System Administrator for our prestigious partner EEAS in Brussels. The European External Action Service (EEAS) is the EU's diplomatic service.
Main Responsibilities
- Management of the legacy systems, around 15 different infrastructures based on Microsoft solutions.
- Ensuring all design are in accordance with the architecture requirements.
- Ensuring a proper handover from the project team by reviewing all relevant design, implementation and operational documents
- Manage incidents and problems related to servers assigned to the team until resolution within time defined by SLA.
Successful Candidate
Profile:
- 5+ years of experience as a system engineer
- A proven experience in managing multiple infrastructures with high security standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; the candidate must be able to write technical and non-technical documentations in English.
- Customer focus: provide high quality of service.
- Able to work as a team member with a flexible attitude and in an organized way.
- Deliver projects on time.
- Able to organize your work following the different priorities.
- Strong reporting skills
- Experience working in secure infrastructure with classified information’s is a plus.
- Able to follow procedures and referring to Team Leader in case of problem.
- Provide complete and clear information about problems resolution.
- Coordinate with other teams (network and service desk) when required.
- Organized and proactive.
Technical Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience in following
- Windows Scripting
- Networking (TCP/IP, SNMP, SMTP)
- Alerting and Monitoring
- Windows Servers security and hardening
- Windows Active Directory
- Backup and Recovery (knowledge of COTS)
Technical Environment, Tools and Products
- Administration of MS Windows server systems in heterogeneous network
- TCP/IP Data Networks (DNS, DHCP)
- System Management Tools
- MS XP Workstation
- MS Windows Server 2003 or higher installation, administration and problem solving
- Web Server software (MS IIS and/or Apache) administration
- Network Security and overall IT Security (firewalls, PKI, encryption, etc.)
- Centralised network backup systems (Backup Exec, Veeam backup, Netapp Snap Manager, Legato)
- Microsoft Virtual Servers and/or VMware
- MS Cluster administration
- Linux
- Experience with implementation of secure infrastructures for defence, government or financial organisations
**Note: EU Secret Clearance and EU Nationality is mandatory
