Role Responsibility
- Manage the development of the website, intranet and other web platforms (data hubs), for external and internal communication;
- Manage the technical aspects of the websites, and in particular provide the necessary support in ensuring consistent up-to-date content, and timely, high quality updates;
- Contribute to identifying and taking the necessary actions to meet the intranet related needs of users, and assist in understanding, using and updating the services and information on the intranet;
- Identify, solve and communicate user and technical problems related to internet and intranet services. Follow-up the progress and solution of these problems;
- Contribute to the development and management of social media channels;
- Participate in technical and functional groups regarding the evolution of Commission websites and services;
- Liaise with the Agency's IT sector where necessary for the development and
- maintenance of the Agency's web services;
- Work together with Commission services to ensure website consistency across the parts of the programmes managed by CINEA in terms of content;
- Contribute to in-house training, workshops, presentations;
- Contribute to the reporting needs, as well as evaluation activities (e.g. web statistics);
- In co-operation with the Head of Sector and Head of Unit contribute to other communication activities where such contribution is deemed necessary
Successful Candidate
WORK ENVIRONMENT / CONDITIONS:
- Good command of English, with good drafting skills
- Autonomous and pro-active
- Service-minded with very good communication and people skills
- Capacity to plan, analyse and structure information well
- Ability to work in a team and share knowledge
- Ability to identify the needs of the web users
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Essential:
- Experience in custom web site development and deployment
- Experience in implementations of web content management platforms
- Experience in Drupal and Drupal API
- Experience with CSS, HTML, PHP in a web application environment
- Experience with Linux server (RHEL or CentOS) and LAMP platform management
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks i.e. jQuery or similar
- Experience with MySQL or similar RDBMS database
- Experience with multimedia devices, especially mobile
Advantageous:
- Experience with graphic design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) in producing graphics into a web application
- Experience working with social media platforms
