Main Responsibilities

What you will do

  • Manage and deliver projects and workstreams on Scope, Requirements, Time, Cost, Quality, Risk and Deliverables/Products/Benefits.
  • Proactively engage stakeholders such as users, managers, IT specialists, SME’s, architects, or suppliers to deliver project outputs. 
  • Mobilise and lead teams composed of a mixture of staff and suppliers across organisational and geographical boundaries. You ensure they have the necessary skills, capacity, and experience to achieve the required outcomes.
  • Proactively manage variances and changes on scope, time, cost, and quality. 
  • Identify risks, issues & dependencies and take appropriate mitigating actions whilst ensuring proper documentation of such via JIRA, decision records, Senior Management reports.
  • Proactively align expectations across your stakeholders and facilitate decision-making in a timely and effective manner.
  • Timely report on the status of your projects, whether detailed or managerial, business or IT. 
  • Understand and apply the right collaboration methods considering project and business needs as well as constraints.
  • Proactively identify dependencies and synergies with other initiatives and projects.
  • Monitor project & supplier costs versus planned budget and perform regular cost controls.
  • Continuously follow established governance processes (e.g. communication flows, solution reviews, risk waivers where not compliant with Serco SMS, overall compliance with Serco Group Policies) and establish new governance processes where appropriate for operations.
  • Prepare, facilitate and track a variety of meetings with different stakeholders to secure technical alignment, common understanding of objectives, deliverables, ownerships and timelines and secure documentation of relevant outcomes.
  • Support senior management presentations & decision-making material where necessary.
  • Support building up a regular track record of project documentation within JIRA regarding workstreams status, progress/achievements, next steps, risks, issues, dependencies, mitigations. 

Successful Candidate

About you

  • Strong IT background with significant experience establishing and delivering larger and complex projects.
  • Strong affinity with IT technology in one or more areas: Cloud Solutions (Azure Cloud, Amazon Web Services, other), Digital Platforms, M365 environment (in specific SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID, etc.), Infrastructure, Applications, Interfaces and/or Data Management.
  • Ideally recent experience in cloud transformations e.g. from on-premises, Data Center hosted applications to Azure Cloud or Remote Desktop Services to Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
  • Ideally recent experience in identity, mail and/or device migrations.
  • Ideally recent experience in fileserver to SharePoint migrations.
  • Ideally recent experience in IT & system implementations such as ticketing systems (ServiceNow), ERP systems (Business Central) and/or HR systems (SAP HCM, Planday).
  • Ideally familiar with entire M365 ecosystem.
  • Ideally recent project management experience with ServiceNow implementations.
  • Comfortable with all aspects of project management. Proven track record.
  • Well-Structured, self-starting and mature on stakeholder management up to C-Level.
  • Familiar with leading geographically dispersed teams as well as managing external partners and suppliers.
  • Team player with strong hands-on mentality. 
  • Excellent communication, presentation & negotiation skills.
  • Experience in Change and Adoption Management with capability to actively train employees about new processes, systems and ways of working.
  • Resourceful, able to anticipate on unforeseen situations and build contingency plans.
  • Ideally you have project managed one or more integrations or transitions.
  • Familiar with both agile and waterfall methodologies as well as tools like Jira.                                      
  • Experience with business and IT processes.
  • Degree educated with a learner mindset.
  • Native or C1 German speaker.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Experience with operations and Service Management (ITIL) is desired.
  • A background in consultancy is beneficial.
