Job Introduction

In Europe, we work closely with our customers to deliver custom-made and specialized services across International Organizations, Space, Immigration, and Defence. We provide tailored services for various public sector bodies including European Institutions, the Belgian and German Defence, the European Space Agency, and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). Our expertise spans IT services, Facility Management, Space Research, and Operations.

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to strengthen our teams across our European offices!

Main Responsibilities

As Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Quality, Risk and Deliverables/Products/Benefits.
  • Engage stakeholders such as users, managers, IT specialists, SME’s, architects, or suppliers to deliver project outputs.
  • Mobilise and lead teams composed of a mixture of staff and suppliers across organisational and geographical boundaries. You ensure they have the necessary skills, capacity, and experience to achieve the required outcomes.
  • Proactively manage variances and changes on scope, time, cost, and quality.
  • Identify risks and take appropriate mitigating actions.
  • Align expectations across your stakeholders and facilitate decision-making in a timely and effective manner.
  • Timely report on the status of your projects, whether detailed or managerial, business or IT.
  • Understand and apply the right collaboration methods considering project and business constraints.
  • Proactively identify dependencies and synergies with other initiatives and projects

Successful Candidate

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of project and programme management methodologies / approaches and their application in a complex business
  • Knowledge of project governance and assurance and its interrelationship with programme and portfolio governance
  • Knowledge of different business functions/ disciplines (i.e. finance and commercial, operations, safety, risk, HR, operational excellence, IT, sales, marketing and communications) and comfortable working in a complex environment
  • Advanced MS Office Skills, including Project (Project Online), Word, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience

  • Strong IT and business experience with significant experience establishing and delivering larger, more complex projects.
  • Experience of Payroll integration projects preferred.
  • Comfortable with all aspects of project management. Proven track record.
  • Structured, self-starting and mature on stakeholder management up to C-Level.
  • Strong affinity with IT technology in one or more areas
  • Familiar with managing external partners and suppliers.
  • Team player and a good communicator.
  • Strong negotiator.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Resourceful, able to anticipate on unforeseen situations and build contingency plans.
  • Experience of collaboration, influencing, communication and engagement of a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience of working in a high-pressure environment and managing multiple demands at once
  • Ability to drive clarity from ambiguity

Education

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience)
  • Project Management qualification / certification (e.g. APM, PRINCE2, PMI etc)
