Senior IT System Administrator

Role Responsibility

Linux/Windows:
• System installation, configuration, operation and management
• Linux cluster installation, configuration, operation and management
• Scripting and small development for automation
• Procedures automation
• Log analysis and centralisation (e.g. Elastic Stack)
VMWare:
• VMWare environment installation, set-up and transfer to operations
•  VCENTER installation, management and configuration
•  Virtual machine installation, configuration, operation and management
•  Resource allocation analysis and remediation
•  Resource capacity analysi, remediation  and management
• Scripting and small development for automation
OpenStack:
• Installation, set-up and operations
Other:
• Application operation and anomaly analysis
• System monitoring and alarm analysis
• Monitoring System instalation and set-up (e.g. Centreon/Nagios)
• System inventory instalation and set-up (e.g. LanSweeper/OCS Inventory)
• SAN/Disk array management
• Tape library operation and management
• Interface with third party suppliers
• Backup management, monitoring and execution
• Technical notes  editing support
• User/Administration manual editing support
• Procedure/Work Instaraction editing support

Successful Candidate

Technical skills:
• Good  knowledge of Linux installation/administration and tuning (RedHat/CentOS/Ubuntu)
• Good  knowledge of Windows installation/administration and tuning
• Good knowledge of VMWare  installation/administration and tuning
• Knowledge of OpenStack installation/administration and tuning
• knowledge of Disk/Array installation/administration and tuning
• Knowledge of SAN installation/administration and tuning
• knowledge of data backups solution
• knowledge of High Availability installation/administration and tuning
• Knowledge of Blade technology
• knowledge of network management, firewall and security on Linux/Windows
• Knowledge of DBA (Oracle/Mysql/Postgres)
• Capacity of Linux/Windows shell programming

Personal Skill:
• Fluent in English Language (both written and spoken)
• Good communications skills
• Capacity of working in team
• Capacity of achieving schedule and milestones
• Capacity of working under pressure

• At least 4 years of experience in IT infrastructure as Linux/Windows System Administrator
• Experience in setting up Virtual environment
• Strong experience in moving from Physical to Virtual
